Rotavirus gastroenteritis

The rotavirus vaccine is mandatory and free under the current PSO schedule. It is an oral vaccine started after 6 weeks of age. The number of doses depends on the product used, and the aim is to protect against severe rotavirus diarrhoea and dehydration.

  • When 1: Months 2–3
  • When 2: Months 4–5
